This webinar will be showcasing how local governments in Valencia (Spain) and Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (Czech Republic) are turning renewable energy projects into tools for social justice and fighting energy poverty. Beyond technical innovation, both pilots show that fighting energy poverty starts with trust: in institutions, in local actors, and between citizens.
We will explore concrete actions around collective energy consumption in a condominium and through the energy sharing of renewables produced on a cimetery. All this goes far beyond installing solar panels: it is a journey about building long-term relationships with vulnerable communities to creating new governance models that respect their needs and realities.
